Property Tax Homestead Exemption & Deadline Information

In order to qualify for Homestead Exemption, the property owner must be the owner of record and occupy the property as his or her principal residence on or before January 1 of the year following their purchase. So if your name is on the property record and you purchased your home in 2022 OR before and you have not filed for homestead exemption, and it is your primary residents, you would likely qualify for big tax savings.
Documents to bring: Valid Georgia Driver's License with current property address and settlement statement or warranty deed. (Please Let me know if I can help you with this!)
